Chair of Trustees
Before his retirement in 2006, Keith was Head of Deptford Green School, a mixed comprehensive in South East London. Under his leadership the school gained a national reputation for its work in citizenship education. He received an OBE for services to education in 1996 and was knighted in 2007. Keith has worked as a government adviser and was the lead writer of the curriculum report ‘Diversity and Citizenship’. He is currently a trustee of APIE (a charity working in education in Rwanda) and a trustee of the Wimbledon Foundation. He is also an honorary fellow of Goldsmiths University, an Hon DEd De Montfort University and an Hon. DLit(Ed) London University.
Caroline is a residential property lawyer and Vice-Chair of the Trust. Caroline has so far supported the Trust for 5 years and says she is privileged to be a part of such an incredible organisation which has achieved so much in the last few years with every sign of continuing the trend for many years to come.
She currently works in private practice dealing with ultra-high net worth conveyancing for private individuals and trusts on the sale and purchase of residential property, lease extensions and restructuring, together with working with private banks on the finance aspect of this work and for banks themselves with private facilities. Caroline also does all aspects of landlord and tenant work.
On a personal note, Caroline enjoys riding her motorbike around the UK and Europe. She is an avid reader (anything and everything) and loves the theatre, gardening and cooking.”
Michael is a Charity Lawyer and Senior Partner at Camerons Solicitors LLP. He provides legal support to the Trust, specialising in charity law and philanthropy, and founded the Charity Law Association in 1992.
His other charitable activities include sitting as the Master of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers in 2016, which was founded by Royal Chapter in 1631.
Andrea is the founder of People Business. She is an experienced Human Resources professional, organisational development consultant, and facilitator.
Andrea offers significant expertise in all aspects of HR and people development, whether it’s putting in place a strategy for organisational Change, management development, executive assessment or executive coaching.
She has refined the process of producing lasting behavioural change working primarily with those responsible for others – senior managers, managers, and team leaders – in a host of development areas.
Andrea is a long-suffering lifetime Spurs supporter and enjoys travel when she can free up time to do so.
Neil is Head of Architecture/Products & Design at Graveney School, a secondary school in south west London.
He has been a trustee since 2011 and is particularly involved in progressing access to architectural careers for those from a diverse background.”
Paul has a background in financial management across both the charity and corporate sectors. This includes time with the Church Urban Fund, Avery Dennison and well-known high street fashion brand Laura Ashley. Paul is currently Director of Finance at The Leverhulme Trust, where he is responsible for the finance and investment of a large endowment supporting academic research, scholarships and bursaries.
Paul Karakusevic established Karakusevic Carson Architects to improve the quality of social housing in London. His focus is the delivery of successful and sustainable neighbourhoods, mixed-tenure housing and civic buildings that reflect both their unique, local sense of place and the real needs of the communities involved.
He has pioneered an approach to consultation that is meaningful and sensitive, creating a climate of trust and openness with clients, resident groups and delivery teams that enables projects to progress successfully with the highest quality outcomes. His contribution is strategic insight, architectural design lead, a rigorous approach to masterplanning excellence and an in-depth knowledge of housing and design.
In addition to his nationally and internationally recognised experience with the practice, Paul is a Design Advisor to the HCA/GLA, Urban Design London and Design Council/CABE and lends his experience to audits, critiques and review and awards panels of major initiatives and projects across the UK. Paul has been selected as a Mayor’s Design Advocate, joining a panel of architecture and design experts who have been selected by the Mayor of London to provide design guidance to City Hall and local councils.
Chris is the Head of Talent and Organisational Capability at Centrica where he is accountable for transforming the capability of the workforce to compete effectively in the future. He has over 12 years of experience in HR leadership roles at FTSE 100 companies and has specialist experience in recruitment, training, development and talent management. His expertise fits perfectly with the Trust’s work to inspire and enable young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue and succeed in careers they might not otherwise have considered.”
